Our Priorities, policies, and practicesThe final command of our Lord Jesus Christ is to go and make disciples. Evangelism/soul-winning is the ultimate purpose for everything we do. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the life-changing power of God at work in people’s lives. As believers are trained, equipped, and matured, our desire is to see them sent into the world to win others to Christ. We believe that signs and wonders will follow those who believe when they go in the power of Jesus’ name. When we share the gospel we expect the miraculous to happen.
- We intend to prepare an army of life-style evangelists to win our communities and our world for Jesus. We especially desire to reach out to those of diverse racial and ethnic cultures. We believe that God is no respecter of persons, and that His heart is to have people from all nations, tongues and tribes be part of His church.
- We have a world view of missions. We believe that every believer can take part in reaching the world through their prayers, giving, and going. We want every believer to have opportunities to personally share in world missions. We support missions efforts in several foreign countries, and promote frequent missions trips, by both “Five-fold ministers” and lay members.
- We believe in caring for the widows and fatherless in our world. We try to see that anyone who comes to us in need of food or clothing be provided for. By ministering to the material needs of people, we hope to lead them to Jesus. However we also believe that God’s word says that a man should take care of his own household, and that those who will not work should not eat. We choose not to enable those who ignore their personal responsibilities.
